This year, BenQ Mobile and Sun Microsystems are holding the 4th international Java Masters competition for the development of new mobile Java applications. Participants in the Java Masters 2006 face the challenge of designing innovative applications for BenQ-Siemens mobile phones.

Actually we closed registration May 21 and now we’re screening though the apps – and WOW! what amazing things we found. Stay tuned – I’ll write more about this in the next days!

Last year, Jiabin Feng, a 22 years old Computer Science student from the Xidian University in China won the student category. I’ve made together with Manfred Kube an interview with Ben which can be found at the BenQ Mobile Developer Page.
