An young actress moves in. A voice asks her if she ever has been in a casting before. The actress proves that she knows to play and demonstrates many emotions. Normal? Yes – for a movie casting absolutly. But not for a computer game! An impressive demo at this year’s E3, “Heavy Rain” from Quantic Dreams grabbed the attention of a lot of curious show-goers thanks to its excellent visuals, believable actress, and the fact that it’s an all-new adventure game from the same folks that brought us 2005’s award-winning “Indigo Prophecy”. By end of June 2006 around 123 million people had been in internet, 2 of 3 using broadband access. That’s still only 10% of overall population in China (around 1.3 billion people) – but if you look at the numbers, the market is growing and growing. According to a report China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC) has presented today the number raised by 20% compared to last year! According to ITU’s “World Society Report 2006″ more and more people are connecting to mobile networks than ever. Especially in China, Russia and India are driving this business, so International Telecommunication Union (ITU) reported. Auch wenn sauna-artige Umstände dazu führen, das man versucht, weder zum linken noch zum rechten Nachbarn Körperkontakt zu haben. Jede Berührung führt zu Schweißflecken, jede wenn auch noch so leichte Annäherungen zu Mitlauschenden zu Hitzewallungen… Und trotzdem: Ja, Lyrik vier Stunden lang geht.

Nach monatelangen Workshops an Augsburger Schulen, die u.a. von den Spoken Word Artists Ko Bylanzki, Fiva, Lydia Daher und Rayl Ratzak organisiert worden sind, konnte nun eine Auswahl von 12 Workshop-Teilnehmern erlebt werden.

Wie kann man Kreativität bei Kindern fördern? Und wie kann die Stadt Augsburg – namentlich das Kultur-, das Sozial- und das Schulreferat dabei unterstützend wirken?
Die Augsburger Grünen luden am 11.7. zu dieser Frage in den Filmsaal des Augsburger Zeughaus ein, um mit Fachleuten und Interessierten zu diskutieren. Gemeinsame kulturelle Projekte von Schulen und freien KünstlerInnen oder kulturellen Institutionen selber sind zwar nichts Neues (Projekte wie Kreativität in der Schule – KidS – oder andere von dem Jungen Theater über die Palette zu anderen Aktionen). Dennoch: „Da ist derzeit etwas Spannendes im Gange: eine komplett neue Art der Zusammenarbeit von Schulen, Kulturträgern und sozialen Einrichtungen“, so Bürgermeisterin und Kulturreferentin Eva Leipprand in ihrer Begrüßung.

After auctioning Germany’s UMTS/3G licenses for around 50 billion Euro the german government is working on the next round… Again there’ll be an auction, again there are more bidder than licenses. But the technology is named now WiMAX (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access). The auction will happen in this calendar year and will be held for each of 16 Germany’s regions. Weiter »
